Here is some info from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental
Services (DES):
Because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we're having to implement some new
protocols at the Wentworth Transfer Station. Here is what's happening starting
tomorrow (March 18, 2020).
(1) The swap area will be closed. Everything is going into the compactor or
C&D dumpster.
(2) No recycling items will be collected from residents’ cars. In our case
it's only aluminum cans. Hang on to them until a later date.
(3) Tissues are NOT recycling.
(4) Trash bags are to be tied off or securely closed. No errant tissues,
garbage or otherwise contaminated waste littering the ground that needs to be
picked up.
(5) If you are sick, stay home. Know the difference between allergies and
sick.
(6) Wear gloves if you have them.
(7) Remember to wash your hands often with warm water!!
