Annual Overnight Parking & Snow Removal Reminders

Overnight Parking

It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on either side of any street or Municipal Parking lot in the Town of Wentworth between the hours of 12:00 Midnight and 6:00 AM, between November 1 and May 1 of any year.

 

Reminder About Snow Removal 

No person shall park any vehicle on a public way or sidewalk within the Town of Wentworth in such a way as to hinder the removal of snow from the streets of Wentworth by the Town of Wentworth or the State of New Hampshire.

Town of Wentworth Highway Department

The Town of Wentworth, NH is seeking candidates for a full-time, year-round position with mandatory hours being early mornings, nights and weekends in the winter as required by the Road Agent. The position will be a highway maintenance/construction worker. Preferred candidates will have a CDL B driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.  The candidate also must have experience operating equipment such as backhoe, road grader, plow truck, etc.  Experience with equipment maintenance and repair is a plus. Master Plan Presentation Scheduled for November 13

 

Join the Wentworth Planning Board and June Garneau of MAPS as they present the results of the recent Master Plan questionnaire.   A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

The presentation will be held on Saturday, November 13 at 1:30 at Wentworth Elementary School.
 
Residents are encouraged to attend.

Starting October 24, 2021 - Dial 10 Digits for Local Calls

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced that 10-digit dialing will be required for local calls starting October 24, 2021 and encourages callers to be aware and prepare.

The NH Division of Emergency Services and Communications reminds residents that emergency services will still be reached by dialing 9-1-1 after seven-digit dialing for local calls ends on Oct. 24, 2021.  Residents will also still be able to use other three-digit dialing services like 7-1-1 (relay services) and 2-1-1 (public resources).
