Select Board Meeting October 24, 2019

NOTICE

There will be a Select Board working meeting on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to finalize the revision of the Town Personnel Policy & Employee Handbook. 

Hazard Mitigation Planning Meetings

Mapping and Planning Solutions is conducting a series of meetings with Jeff Ames, the Wentworth Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director, over the next few months to update the 2015 Wentworth Hazard Mitigation Plan.

From the attached press release, "Through this series of public meetings, the Team will address issues such as flooding, hurricanes, drought, landslides and wildfires, and determine efforts the Town can undertake to mitigate the effects of both natural and human-caused hazards. The Team will also examine potential shelter sites and the need for generators at those sites."

The general public is encouraged to attend all meetings.  These meetings will be held at the town offices on these dates:

• - Monday, October 21 from 6 pm to 8 pm
• - Monday, November 18 from 6 pm to 8 pm
• - Monday, December 9 from 6 pm to 8 pm

Select Board Meeting October 22

There will be a Select Board meeting on October 22 at 5 pm at the Wentworth Town Offices.

Supervisors of the Checklist October 25

The Supervisors of the Checklist for the Town of Wentworth will be in session, Friday October 25th 2019 between the hours of 7 PM and 7:30PM at the Wentworth Town Offices.  The purpose of the meeting is to update and make corrections to the checklist and to register new voters. This is also the last time to change Party affiliations before the Presidential Primary in 2020.

Planning Board Meeting October 7

The Planning Board will meet on Monday, October 7 at 6:30 pm  in the Select Board meeting room.  Our present agenda is as follows:

• 6:30- Open the meeting with a review of the previous meeting minutes for acceptance by the WPB
  
• 6:45 Application for a minor subdivision on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bassingthwaite concerning their property at Cross and Rowentown Roads. This is preliminary WPB review to set November hearing.
• 7:15 Review of any business brought before the board
• 7:30 Discuss Master Plan Progress as well as Modifications to the WPB Regulations.
