Absentee Ballot Processing Saturday, October 31

We have received many absentee ballots and we will partially process them on Saturday, October 31st, at 9 am in the Select Board’s conference room (Town Office Building). The Moderator, Town Clerk, a Supervisor of the Checklist, and a Ballot Clerk will all be present. The public is welcome to observe.

Partial pre-processing creates an opportunity for voters to be notified if they failed to properly complete or return the absentee ballot with a completed affidavit and for the voter to correct the error on or before election day, ensuring your vote is counted.

We will NOT be opening the affidavit envelope (the envelope you put your ballot in and sealed). Those will be opened and read at the election as usual.

Please know that our town has a very committed Election crew. Your vote counts and it is very important to us.

Respectfully,

Deborah Ziemba
