Voting for the upcoming New Hampshire primary will be held at Wentworth Elementary School.
The polls open at 8:00 am and close at 7:00 pm.
Absentee ballots are available at the Town Clerk's office.
Reminder that here will be a Supervisors of the Checklist meeting (for any additions or corrections) on September 4, 2018 from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Town Offices board room.

Transfer Station Closed Wednesdays Until Further Notice
Per order of Selectmen, the Transfer Station will not be open on Wednesdays until further notice.

Selectmen's Office Closed August 20-22
The Selectmen's Office will be closed on August 20-22nd re-opening on the 23rd at 9:00 am.

Items No Longer Accepted at the Transfer Station
ATTENTION:
Per order of Selectmen:The Town of Wentworth will NO LONGER be accepting:
- Propane tanks of any size
- Any unit that contains FREON such as; refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, dehumidifiers, etc.
Be aware that new pricing sheets will be available at the Transfer Station with the updated info.

Transfer Station Position
The Town of Wentworth is currently seeking an individual for a part-time / employee position, working as a Supervisor of the Transfer Station. The Town is also in search of a part-time, fill in position during absences, working as an Attendant.
HOURS:

- 18 hrs. a week
- Wednesdays 3-6 pm. (1-4 pm Nov. - Feb)
- Saturday and Sundays 9-3 pm.
The Attendant will be responsible for the following:
- Must be certified with the State of NH (training available for qualified individual)
- Opening and closing the Transfer Station gates according to schedule.
- Direct incoming vehicles to proper disposal areas and check for appropriate station identification.
- Collect and record all required disposal fees, and must be able to fill out daily paperwork, and submit to Admin. Office biweekly.
- Oversee the separation of materials.
- Coordinate and schedule pick up of disposal and recyclables, manage universal wastes including mercury products, computer monitors, fluorescent bulbs, rechargeable batteries, tires, and etc.
- Keeping the Transfer Station clean, picking up debris, maintaining a clean Attendants Station.
- Attend Seminars and Training as required by The Board of Selectmen.
This position will require yearly certification through NHDES.

Please be aware that the recent E. Coli CTS water testing results were expedited for the Town of Wentworth because of last month's level of concern. Today, Aug. 13, 2018, the Town received the results from NH Public Health Laboratories Dept. of Health & Human Services. NO LEVELS OF CONCERN this month were reported. Lisa Doner with Baker River Watershed - Plymouth, says the Town of Wentworth can relax their restrictions on the swim beaches.
The following are abbreviations that will assist you in interpreting your report.
CTS/100 mL = Counts per 100 milliliters
CFU = Colony forming unit
For assistance in interpreting your lab results and obtaining information regarding water treatment; go to www.des.nh.gov and search “Be Well Informed.” or go to http://xml2.des.state.nh.us/DWITool/.

Warning: High E. Coli Reported in Wentworth
Please be aware that the water test results are back from NH Public Health Laboratories. The message that was received discusses that Wentworth is having trouble at the Silver Bridge (Saunders Hill Rd.) again. It also states that the Town Park Hamilton Field is remarkably high also, considering that just upstream values are only 20 counts per 100 mL.
