Trick or Treating in the Town of Wentworth has been set to:
Tuesday, October 31st during the hours of 5-8 pm.
Please note: 7 Trick or Treating tips for a safe Halloween.
1. Watch for cars.
Don't get caught in the excitement and forget to look both ways before crossing the street.
2. Wear comfy shoes.
Wear walking appropriate shoes to prevent blisters, falling, tripping or breaking an ankle.
3. Make sure costumes don't drag and masks can be see through.
Whether it's the wearer or the people around them, excess material or poor visibility can cause accidents.
4. Check your candy (eat nothing that is opened).
Prevention is the best approach. Don't eat anything your are in question of it being tampered with.
5. Wear light colored clothing.
Use reflective tapes and flashlights so that you can be seen.
6. Stay warm.
Dress appropriately, and wear warm thermal, and extra layers under your costumes. Hand warmers can be placed in shoes or clothing to keep warm.
7. Don't forget Stranger Danger.
Kids shouldn't go into strangers homes. Adults should accompany all children. Stay on the designated route agreed by parents. Don't go with someone you don't know.
Have a Happy and Safe Halloween.
