On-Call Animal Control Officer Job Opportunity

The Town of Wentworth is seeking an on-call Animal Control Officer.  This position may start immediately or any time before December 31, 2020.

Baker River Testing Results Now Within Safe Limits

BAKER RIVER TESTING RESULTS

The Baker River Watershed Association has sent the e.Coli levels for the July 20, 2020 sampling. 

Saunders Hill Road Bridge=30 MPN/100ml
Riverside Park down stream from covered bridge=63 MPN/100ml
Beach at Hamilton Park=10 MPN/100ml. 

These are all within the safe swim limit of 88 MPN/100ml.

E-Coli Health Warning

HEALTH WARNING

The Baker River has recently been tested for e-coli bacteria.  The area of Silver Bridge on Saunders Hill Road has a high level of e-coli.  The Town's Health Officer is issuing a warning for swimming and other water based recreational activities for that area.  She will post a sign.
